Mickey's Christmas Carol

Mickey's Christmas Carol is a 1983 animated version with Mickey Mouse as Cratchit, Scrooge McDuck as Scrooge, and Donald Duck as Fred. I don't know how many adaptations there have been for A Christmas Carol, but sometimes I think there's one for every television show and character. This one is fun if you like these characters.

  1. What a cute take on a Christmas Carol. It was adorable in true Disney style. How many more of these will yo8u find? I'll never tire of seeing each one because they are all so different.

Some of the characters are a bit over the top. But it is a fun little piece.

    1. I think the versions with familiar characters are especially good introductions to the story.

  5. Mr Disney is/was the most wonderful creator (ever!) What's not to like about Disney anything. I haven't seen this one shown on TV for a few years, must keep an eye out for it ... unless of course in the current crazed mood of finding something about anything to be upset about Christmas & they "ban" this movie ...

    1. I'm willing to criticize Disney on several fronts, but this version is cute :)

  6. I remember this. And I see your latest comment here and I get it. Disney is cute but they do know how to rake in the cash. For good or bad reasons, depending on your viewpoint. Happy Friday. Hugs-Erika

    1. My problems with Disney are two-fold: 1) I don't like their aggressive interpretation of copyright and their aggressive lobbying for copyright extensions; and 2) I don't like many of their reinterpretations of fairy tales, making them in many ways unrecognizable -I'm looking at you, Little Mermaid ;)
