The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf is a 2021 adult animated dark fantasy film focusing on the origin story of Geralt's mentor and fellow witcher Vesemir, the witcher featured in The Witcher televsion series. This is a wonderful origin story which stands on its own even if you're unfamiliar with the other witcher stories. I watched it on Netflix.

Another one I've never heard of, and I don't have Netflix. Valerie
ReplyDeleteWe seem to use Netflix a lot.
Delete...Witcher was a television series?
ReplyDeleteyep.
DeleteI've never seen The Witcher so I'd have no clue what was going on--lol!
ReplyDeleteAs an origin story it tells you all you need to know without having seen the other show.
DeleteIs this film related to the Witcher TV series? I watched that and I liked it.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's an origin story -a prequel of sorts.
DeleteMaybe I should start the Witcher. I wondered if it would be a good series
ReplyDeleteI had trouble understanding the timeline in the first season of that series but otherwise liked it.
DeleteI have tried and tried to watch the Witcher shows and for some reason can't connect with them. OMGosh, I have been to several places in my town to get a post card. I wanted one with movies on it. LOL For a tourist town I found one place. I picked the prettiest one they have. I will mail it out tomorrow with your tea. Have a nice evening.
ReplyDeleteThat first Witcher series seemed to depend on me already knowing about the characters and their timeline, which I did not. This one was an easier entry.
DeletePostcards, right?! I thought they'd be everywhere... I found some at our local independent bookstore, hoorah!
Never heard of this (and we don´t have Netflix anyways) - it reminded me a bit of Captain Future with the style (but I may be like totally wrong).
ReplyDeleteI'm not familiar with Captain Future.
DeleteNever heard of it and never heard of the series.
ReplyDeleteMy son again lol He introduces me to stuff I'd never hear of otherwise.
