The Scorpion King is a 2002 sword and sorcery action adventure film. Both a prequel and spin-off of The Mummy franchise, it launched The Scorpion King film series. The film marks Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's first lead role. This is another in the category of movies that are great splashy fun to watch but that will never appear on "Great Film" lists. I watched it on Amazon Prime this time, but I had seen it before years ago on one of the kids' DVDs.

I watched this one some years back, it was fun. Valerie
ReplyDeleteDefinitely fun :)
Delete...another that I missed.
ReplyDeleteMy kids introduced me to a lot of these movies.
DeleteBelieve it or not, I saw it years ago on TV. It was fun. I like how you described it: "splashy fun."
ReplyDeleteSometimes that's all I need a movie to do: be fun :)
DeleteI've watched this one with my granddaughter. Splashy fun is a perfect description!
ReplyDeleteWatching with someone younger adds another dimension of fun :)
DeleteThese films are good entertainment. Not the world's greatest movies, but still fun to watch when you want something for entertainment. Did you find anything green to wear today?
ReplyDeleteYes! I had a green top I paired with a scarf. I didn't go anywhere, but it added to the fun of the day. My husband made his traditional green oatmeal muffins :)
DeleteI passed back then and will pass again--lol! I have heard about the movie, though. Truth--I only tend to watch some of the action movies/superhero movies that Dagan and Leah watch so I know what they are talking about--ROFL! ;)
ReplyDeleteI like the action/adventure movies. Ever since I saw my first Hercules film in elementary school... Steve Reeves!
DeleteI knew the film title, but not the movie. And when I saw the photo, I thought, "He looks like Dwayne Johnson when he was young." Ha, not a bad guess at all, it's actually "The Rock"!
ReplyDeleteAll the best and have a nice weekend - Traude 😘
