Jug Face is a 2013 horror film about a backwoods community who worship a creature in a mud pit because in exchange for occasional human sacrifices the creature heals them of illnesses. I watched it on Tubi. It's also free on Pluto and with a regular subscription on Amazon Prime.
trailer:
It got good reviews, especially of the actors' performances.

...I love Lanier Meaders face jugs.
ReplyDeletegoogling Lanier Meaders...
DeleteOooh, this looks real good
ReplyDeleteIt was different, and that appeals to me.
DeleteThe idea is kind of crazy, but I bet it would make a good film. Happy Thursday Nita.
ReplyDeleteCan you imagine human sacrifice? In exchange for _anything_?! It did make for interesting plot development.
DeleteThat sounds really like an unusual film. Not the classic horror...
ReplyDeleteAll the best - Traude❤️
