Big Jake

Big Jake is a 1971 western film starring John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara. It begins in 1909 so is modern as westerns go.

Emanuel Levy says, "The film also abounds in references to Wayne’s previous work." DVD Talk calls it "a fairly typical late-period John Wayne picture: it's a personality piece, catered specifically to its aging star, and enjoyable for his fans." Rotten Tomatoes has an audience score of 85%.

    1. I'm not a huge fan, but his Westerns are worth watching -even if he seems to play the same character in so many of them lol

    1. I've never been out west, so movies shot on location out there are very enjoyable for me.

  5. For all the films he made, Wayne was only recognized for the patch over his eye!
