As You Like It (1936)

As You Like It is a 1936 adaptation of the Shakespeare play. It stars Laurence Olivier in his first Shakespeare role in the movies. This is the first sound film adaptation.

  1. I haven't seen this version. Always fun to see well-known actors when they were just starting out. Your ATCs make me smile especially the little bird and birdhouse.

  2. I think I saw that film on TCM a few years ago. At the time, I wasn't into Shakespeare, so it didn't do too much for me.

I LOVE all your ATCs, but Memphis may be my favorite, other than the one you made specifically for T Tuesday. I love coffee too, so that one piqued my interest. I don't think my cup would have lipstick on it, though, since I don't wear it. Thanks for sharing all your beautiful ATCs with us, as well as the film for T this Tuesday, dear friend. BTW, the very last one was great because of the recent Gay Pride rallies this (or maybe it was last) week.

  6. I'm pretty sure I saw this movie but it's been awhile. Most all the movies I watch are on TCM and from the 30's thru the 50's, and some 60's too. The 30's and 40's are my very favorites though. fantastic ATCs again! I especially love the coffee break one, and the starfish of course:) Happy T day!

  9. Darn I couldn't watch any of the video because our internet is too slow today. I saved the link. More wonderful ATCs. You must be approaching 500 now. I love "summer" & "sky" perhaps because we're having a lovely sunny day.

    Happy T-day! Eileen xx

  11. Your ATC's just get better and better. I like them all but the Birdhouse/Bird stands out for me. There is something about the balance of colors and placement and that happy looking bird that I really like.

  14. Our internet is slow this morning (it often is when it's hot..why?) so I will have to postpone watching the video. I like watching your choices when I do the ironing funnily enough.
Your ATCs are varied as usual and fun to watch. I bet they are fun to do too.
    Happy (belated) T-Day,
    Hugs,

  15. You’ve made a. Beautiful set of ATCs, they are so lovely. Shakespeare always makes me think of school, I never enjoyed it as it seemed so hard sometimes to understand what they were talking about, when our son was reading Shakespeare at school we bought him a book that explained what they were saying,!!
    Happy T day
