The English Game 42
As the end credits were rolling when I first saw The English Game and I was critiquing the series (too many dining rooms, too little football, too much Oh-how-I-wish-I-had-a-baby, too much Plight-of-the-Unwed-Mother, and sadly musing on why they make up stuff when the facts would do as well), I noticed that it came from 42 Productions. Cool!

...new to me.
ReplyDeleteAnother of those Netflix series...
DeleteOkay, something else I have never heard of! Valerie
ReplyDeleteI was in it for the sports history, and that turned out not to really be the focus.
DeleteI agree with making up stuff whe real is good -- but I still liked it!
ReplyDeleteI had different expectations...
DeleteWay, cool, I think I missed this
ReplyDeleteYep, both comments showed up, so I just posted this first one.
DeleteDoesn't sound like something I'd want to watch even though I love British shows...but you discovered another 42--lol! :)
ReplyDeleteI'd've liked it to focus more on the game and less on the interpersonal drama...
DeleteInteresting that this post would appear on Major League Baseball's "Jackie Robinson Day," where everyone in uniform has Robinson's number -- 42 -- on his back.
ReplyDelete-- A Pal
Cool! I have a 42 post on Jackie Robinson somewhere in the past...
DeleteToo bad I don't have Netflix, so I'm sort of in the dark about the film and the production company. However, at least you can add another 42 to your list of those found.
ReplyDeleteWe watched it because of the soccer history connection. I only noticed the production company because of the 42 lol
