DeleteThis looks incredibly interesting. It must have included a cast of several thousand, since the battle scenes appeared to be epic.
ReplyDeleteThe cast is _huge_. Even the list of credited named characters is several columns long at Wikipedia. These film-makers have organizational skill beyond the ken of mere mortals. It's quite impressive.

ReplyDeleteYes, it looks like this link is for the 5-hour original. There's a shorter abridged edition, but we watched the 5-hour version. It's available for rent, I think, but my son had a blu ray loaned to him by a friend.

DeleteSounds great! I showed the trailer to my hubby, and he likes what he saw, so it will go on our wish-list. Perhaps they do a box set for collectors like the Lord of the Rings, with extra DVDs to show how the film was made and interviews etc.
