from Wikipedia:
Following the Second Schleswig War of 1864, Danish war veterans Jon and his brother Peter emigrate to the United States from Denmark and settle somewhere between the Mississippi River and the Rocky Mountains. Seven years later, in 1871, Jon's wife, Marie and his 10-year-old son, Kresten, arrive. ...the popularity of Westerns is fascinating.

DeleteI agree with you Nita, this sounds like a nice new take on a western. And cute snowman. His scarf is so shiny. :) Election results are in. I am still confused what so people see in Trump. We looked at the town by town election results and definitely, the more places with more white collar or where more educated people live, is where he lost. That's a scary thought about the population voting him in. Not that there is anything wrong with blue collar workers, but why are they taken in by him?
ReplyDeleteIt's the whole GOP. They've worked hard to get here, and even the best-educated among them bow down and kiss the ring. Fascists, the lot of them.
DeleteIt all sounds a bit scary with Trump, I don't know what people see in him. It's like making Jack the Ripper to President!
ReplyDeleteRepublicans have worked long and hard since the days of Barry Goldwater to be exactly where they are today. It's disgusting. I can't imagine why voters asked whether they would support Trump if he's convicted respond with a full-throated "Yes!" as if they'll actually be proud of a conviction.
DeleteWhat a good vibe from the film clip
ReplyDeleteIt's a good movie.
DeleteSounds a good film.
ReplyDeleteI do like todays snowman.
All the best Jan
Bath and Body Works ftw!
DeleteOur buddy Douglas Henshall barely got notice in the preview--lol! Not as famous yet back then. I have seen Mads Mikkelsen i a few things and he is always intense and you have to watch him, you know? Always enjoy Jonathan Pryce, too. I didn't remember Mads or Johnathan's names, though I recognized their faces instantly and positively. So now I will have to watch this...because of them. ;)
ReplyDeleteI watch a lot of things for the cast. And I'm better at faces than names, too.
