So asks this British writer who says, "Britain’s favourite beverage is a boring, beige relic of our colonial past," and "We just putter along, thinking tea is good; but it’s not good. It’s a lukewarm mug of leaf water, presented as a cure-all for life’s ills." Oh, dear! Shocking! The closing is this: "Analyse. Is this nice, or do I just have Stockholm syndrome?"
Being American, I think I'll stay out of the conversation. Coffee, anyone?
Please share your own drink-related post and join us at the T Stands for Tuesday blogger gathering.

I like both lol
ReplyDeleteI really got a laugh out of that article you shared. I can just imagine the "biscuit" crumbs on the cardigan. I'll stay out of the conversation, too, since I am primarily a coffee drinker, except on occasional T Tuesdays.
ReplyDeleteYou got SNOW. So did we. I loved seeing your patio and watching that little bird search for food. I put my chiminea inside in winter so it doesn't break. But your winters are usually not as cold as this one has been.
Thanks for sharing the snow, your coffee, and the article with us for T this Tuesday, dear friend.
...you got more snow than we did!
ReplyDeleteI'm a tea girl myself, we have loose leaf tea and drink it black 😊. I only have decaf if I have coffee usually with oat milk which I'm sure is sacrilege to most coffee drinkers ...lol! I loved seeing the snow in your yard and I'm sure the birds appreciate those feeder in the cold weather. Wishing you a very Happy T Tuesday! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteI'll take tea and I love it! Especially on cold days like today. You did get snow. I like your back patio and suspect I'd spend a lot of time out there -- but not on a day like this!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're enjoying your snow. I bet everything we eat or drink isn't like it was in the past. That might be a good thing (at least with meat and food storage). Your pansy mug is so pretty. Sadly, we won't see pansies for several months. Happy T Day
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your snow, and coffee, and tea for those who are brave enough to drink it....
ReplyDeleteI am probably 95% coffee and 5% tea--lol! Just couldn't bring myself to purge tea completely from my life, though, when I sorted through my kitchen and pantry--lol!
ReplyDeleteLove seeing the snow on your patio! Nothing prettier to me than big falling flakes and fresh snow! :)
That’s a very old article, still seems to capture the spirit of the controversy. I like fake debates over what’s better — one personal preference or another.
ReplyDeletebest, mae at maefood.blogspot.com
We only got about half an inch in Cleveland, YEAH,
ReplyDeleteOh I am a coffee girl all the way. Tea upsets my stomach and it just doesn't taste right to me. I have a lot of tea in my pantry too. I serve it to people who come over. Which isn't very often any more. Winter has just begun and I am ready for it to be over with. My least favorite season. Stay warm.
ReplyDeleteI drink coffee
ReplyDeletejust like you show with the cup and filter (well my filter is made of porcelain).
Tea almost exclusively as herbal tea, e.g. Greek herbal tea...
Your snow is wonderful. Looks like mine here :-)
hug
Oh wow ! You really did have deep snow! Hmm! English....but not a tea drinker - coffee for me! Happy T Day, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteI still like tea when I need to warm up or get a caffeine jolt. And are you enjoying your snow? Hope you had a super T day Nita.
ReplyDeleteWell he sounds like a very angry tea-hating man lol Maybe he's never had a good cuppa, although "hot brown slop" could apply equally to coffee since both are brown. And I like both, though there is more variety to be had with tea. Happy (brown slop) T Day! Elle xx
ReplyDeleteI love coffee but also enjoy a cup of tea from time to time. Don't make me give up my coffee.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm definitely a tea girl, in fact I think I may go and make a cuppa :)
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
