Christmas Trees

We've recently changed from having a tall tree to decorating a table-top tree, and I'm quite happy with this choice.

I dread the un-decorating more than I enjoy the decorating, and a small tree just feels more manageable. What I've lost in height I've made up for in numbers as I add to my gradually increasing little tree accumulation.

All of those are at the front of the house. My new pride and joy is this little pink wonder:

bought already festooned with silver at a local antique mall. For $4. I'm not kidding. $4. It begged me to bring it home, and how could I refuse? It's on the kitchen counter where it's in my line of sight as I look out onto the patio.

  1. OMGoodness. I have tree envy. You have some incredible trees. I'm in awe. As a person who also only uses table top trees, I adore the ones you have. I can't believe the versatility of some of these trees. Some I've never seen anything like before. I am in total awe of these, dear. I LOVE them all. They are all beautiful, and that pink tree is a STEAL! BTW, I have a cardinal pillow similar to yours. It lives year round in my main floor bath.

    1. I can tell you where most of them came from if there are any in particular you're interested in. For example, in the photo on the top left with the little snowman the tree in the back came from an antique mall, but the other two came from target.

I have a little cardinal pillow that goes with the tree one, but it's up on the couch.

    1. I've had most of these decorations longer than I can remember. I do get the occasional new little tree.

  3. I went to a tabletop tree 2 years ago. At first, it looked a little pathetic remembering the 6 foot tree we had. But yes, as Himself is having difficulty walking, hauling boxes up and downstairs is beyond him. And I was overwhelmed with the thought of that big tree. The tabletop tree is just right for the Dollhouse and me. Tree and smaller ornaments are stored upstairs. Easy to put up and not so much clean up when it has to come down. Truthfully, I was happy with a tiny Advent tree I have, but the family called me a Grinch. I love your tiny trees scattered around. Maybe a thought for next year. Your decorations are beautiful.

    1. Thank you :) All the ornaments won't fit, but I've come to terms with that. I'm the only one who navigates the attic stairs these days, and we don't use the spare bedroom as a bedroom so I'm just storing decorations up there.

  4. All such beautiful decorations to celebrate the best time of the year (OK one of the best times...) Pink anything is perfection (IMO). I wish I had the storage space to collect nativity scenes.

    1. Thank you :) Yes, nativity scenes tempt me, but I just don't have room for more of those than I already have.
