ReplyDeleteScience fiction Christmas :)
DeleteThis one was unique. I actually enjoyed it. I needed a break and this was the perfect one.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed it, too :) Certainly a different take on the story.
DeleteIt looks interesting, thanks! Valerie
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting to see how different the adaptations are.
DeleteThat;s an interesting take on a Christmas Carol. It might not have been meant as a take on it, but I like the idea. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI'm assuming they were inspired by the Dickens tale. It's interesting to see such a different setting.
DeleteYes, must have been inspired by Dickens. Not as convincing in the transformation, but interesting. Funny they used the Egyptian symbol for life, an ankh, as their Martian symbol for whatever holy thing it was for--LOL! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's more preachy, I thought, and less able in its storytelling than most I've seen. I wonder how familiar the audience would've been with that symbol in 1913. Weren't a lot of discoveries made in Egyptian archaeology in the early 1900s?
DeleteWhat fun to find a sci-fi film based on a Dickens story 😁. Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteI was so surprised when I found it!
