  3. They could certainly sing. It's too bad about Karen and her anorexia. But on a better note, since we are starting the new year, I hope yours is wonderful Nita. And maybe your neighbor will turn out to be someone who likes her privacy-although she certainly doesn't seem it. Smile.

    1. It was a tragic loss, that Karen Carpenter died how she did. Their sound was so beautiful. Afterwards, though, I wasn't one who continued with Richard. I just didn't have any interestb in him.

Ah, the neighbor lol! I think, having moved here to this urban townhome complex from acreage out in the country, she's just not used to having to make an effort to maintain her privacy. I'm sure she'll settle down going forward. Shame about the trees, though.

  4. I wasn't a fan of the Carpenters even if "Precious and Few" was the prom theme the year I graduated high school

  7. What did I miss about the new neighbor? At least it was a distraction from The Carpenters. Such a sad ending to a lovely duo.

Welcome to 2023. Sounds like you are easing into it, dear Nita.

    1. My new neighbor is a running report on my FB page. My contacts with her are entertaining, but she's cutting down a beautiful native dogwood tree I've always loved.

  8. I always liked the Carpenters. How sad their story ended so soon.
