Bugs Bunny's Looney Christmas Tales

Bugs Bunny's Looney Christmas Tales is a 1979 television special:

I remember Bugs Bunny and Looney Toons from Saturday morning TV viewing in my childhood, but this one came out long after my childhood was but a memory.

*******
Speaking of "looney"... is anybody else watching the Republicans in the House of Representatives crowing about their majority but not able to elect a Speaker of the House after 6 ballots?

A coal last week... that´s what they tell us here, too.... wear more layers. And the politicians... yes. They throw the coal in the...
Times never change, huh... They always have a hot bath. (the German does not brave up).
Woah. The Ghoast of Christmas... could be mistaken! And money... what will it be worth in the future.
And yes, he was only playing... To meep-meep!
I think I read the coyote is the faster one?
As a kid I never got the political connection ... like with The Simpsons!

    1. Last night's adjournment was a disappointment. It'll be interesting to see if they got their ducks in a row overnight.

    1. Their grandstanding talk of wanting to govern... roflol when their stated goals of investigate Hunter Biden's laptop and impeach the president, and jail Fauci are hilariously unconnected with governing.

  9. I always thought so many of the cartoons were so violent and wasn't much of a fan of those even when I was a kid. They were quite violent I can see now, too--lol!
Watching the republicans paying the consequences of their actions is really fun, though. ;)

    1. They've adjourned 'til 9 tonight our time (Friday), and we'll see. When McCarthy was asked if he thought he'd have enough votes by then he said yes. When asked why he thought so he said, "Because I can count" roflol!!! If he could count he shoulda done a better job of prepping his party for that _first_ speaker vote.

  11. I've never sen Loony Tunes, but will be back to watch it.

It's Groundhog Day or Insanity Day when they vote for the 12th time today. What is the adage? Doing something the same way every time and expecting a different outcome. I am actually enjoying it. I laugh as soon as the vote gets to "5 against." I think "Here we go again." He isn't a Pelosi, that's for sure.

    1. The memes on FB have been hilarious. I've been getting a big kick out of the insanity. It just proves they are ineffective at anything but obstruction but that they are absolute masters at that.

    3. The budget process will be scary. They want to cut Social Security of all things. The Republican holdouts are on Meet the Press right now crowing about their achievement. They want to investigate, again and again.
