The Watcher in the Woods (1980)

The Watcher in the Woods is a 1980 supernatural horror film starring Bette Davis and David McCallum. Produced by Disney, it seems viewers were shocked to see this film come from that company. It's atmospheric in a spooky kind of way.

  1. I don't remember this one. Bette Davis could be very frightening in movies like Whatever happened to Baby Jane? The Nanny, and a made for TV movie based on a Tom Tryon novel, Harvest Home.

  2. ...Disney releases a lot material that Walt would have never done.

  4. There's no way I have time to watch this one today. I'm much too far behind. However, I'm bookmarking it, because I am a BIG fan of David McCallum.

  6. Oh goodness! I know I saw this back then and wasn't very impressed. I watched it because of Bette Davis, really. Old as she was--LOL!

  10. I'm also surprised Disney made a scary movie for adults.
