The Tunnel is a 2019 award-winning Norwegian short film based on the science fiction short story The Tunnel Ahead which was written by Alice Glaser. Watch it here at this link or below:
Glad I live now, not then, what a story (and weeee. I thought it´s a website-link and accidentially downloaded the .pdf twice!) Scray video, too. Thank you, the book explained well. Wow, I already hate automatic cars (always had the ones with gears where I´m "in control") - this is freaky-scary. Hope our future will be bright(er). But reckon we need film like that to be aware of where we´re heading to if we don´t change our minds?
Not sure if I agree. A lot of people try. But sadly, people are not logical beings. Pro nature, but, hey, your workplace is far away, take the car. Etc...
It's just that I remember the hope that surrounded the first Earth Day, and here we are with growing islands of plastic in the ocean and increasing flooding and such. I'm not sure individual actions taken by folks in their daily lives will make enough difference to matter in the long run. I should try to be more optimistic.
Because this blog does not consist of a single focus topic I chose the name Divers and Sundry where "Divers" means being of many and various kinds, and "Sundry" means consisting of a haphazard assortment of different kinds.
...not the "Tunnel of Love?"
ReplyDeleteThis is a different tunnel.
DeleteThe photo you shared looks quite scary. So much uniformity.
ReplyDeleteYes, so sad to be in that situation.
DeleteThat was scary! More like roulette than a tunnel.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely dystopic
DeleteWow! Creepy! I would not have risked going to the beach.
ReplyDeleteYes, that's very risky!

I'm sadly thinking our future will not be so bright. We show no signs of working towards that happy goal :(
