Laura is a 1944 film directed by Otto Preminger and starring Gene Tierney, Dana Andrews, Clifton Webb, Vincent Price, and Judith Anderson. I have this on DVD. It's a treasure, and that's no exaggeration. In fact, I think I'll take an hour and a half and watch it again...

... and once again talking about hats, that is quite the style of hat she's wearing.
ReplyDelete...Otto Preminger is a name from the past.
ReplyDeleteA Film Noir classic - perfect 😁. Happy T Tuesday! Hugs Jo x
ReplyDeleteI really wish I had the 90 minutes to spend watching this. It sounds wonderful. You always come up with a great and unusual take on T Tuesday. Today was no different. This looks like a great film and so sweet to share it for T this Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteOh wow what a hat, isn’t Vincent price in horror films?
ReplyDeleteHappy T Day
Jan
Vincent Price was a genius who could do drama, comedy, and horror with equal skill. He's brilliant in this as a pretty-boy Southerner.
DeleteI love her hat! Happy T Day!Valerie
ReplyDeleteThere are some things that are just beautiful. Black and white movies are one of them.
ReplyDeletesuch a great movie!! Happy T day!
ReplyDeleteI want to come to your house to watch movies with you. This is another really good one.
ReplyDeleteWe could combine our resources and take turns picking. Sounds wonderful :)
DeleteI watched it years ago, it was the first time I had seen Gene Tierney definitely an under appreciated actress.
ReplyDeleteI love her!
DeleteNice cast. And I bet it is good, but as usual I don't think I've seen it. (This must be so boring to read from me all the time- smile). Hope it was a super T day. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteNever boring lol I realize I watch more movies than most people.
DeleteThis sounds familiar--I may have to watch it again, too. Can't move around much anyways for a few days--LOL! ;)
ReplyDeleteThis would be a perfect choice while you have your feet up recovering. This is one of my favorite movies :)
DeleteWhat a poor memory I have--lol! I suspected the right guy but it didn't click in for sure until the clock--LOL! :) :)
DeleteYes, that clock. And isn't he perfect as the bad guy you're not really sure about since there are so many other possible villains.
DeleteYes, I trhink I only suspected him all along because of a vague memory of the movie--LOL! ;)
DeleteI wanted to suspect Dame Judith Anderson ;) but it just wasn't in me lol
DeleteSuch a great movie. They cared a lot more about details back then and dressed so lovely. That poor clock - it really took a beating during the movie! Vincent can recite anything and it sounds so much cooler than if anyone else said it. Thanks for sharing! Happy T-day a bit late!
ReplyDeleteI was going to comment on that hat, but others have already. I love these old film. I have just read through the plot and I think I will try to watch this. Sounds good. (I should be able to find this for free somewhere, it's pretty old.)
ReplyDeleteThanks for suggesting it.
Happy belated T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
If you can access Internet Archive that video embedded above should work. This film is a treasure :)
DeleteOne of my all time favorites. Every detail is perfect!
