  4. I tried to get into this film and couldn't. Not sure why as it was several years ago when I gave it a shot. Sometimes movies require a second try-just like books. Happy Monday!!!

    1. It's hard to go back to a book or movie that doesn't engage me the first time, since there are always so many others waiting.

  5. I agree, as much as I like all of the actors, I could not get into this film.

  9. I misread this. I don't have Netflix, and thought it was the film, not the trailer. I'm a dufus at times.

  12. This one is a favorite of mine. But you can't multitask when you watch it -- you have to be right there with it. And it's so good, you want to be!

    1. I admit I like doing other things while I watch movies, but you definitely can't do that with this film lol

  13. This is a DVD we've actually got!
Gary Oldman is a great actor.

We also enjoyed the BBC series with Alec Guinness.

    All the best Jan

  14. I tried to watch this but it seemed so slow that I ended up turning it off. I heard the book was great (I never read it, but I knew what it was about), so I thought the movie would be good, but I lost interest and gave up.

Not that it's related, but if you get a chance to watch Coherence, I think you'll like it. If you can watch it without commercial interruptions, that is the best way to see it. (I think it's on Tubi TV right now, but they have commercials. I liked it so much I wanted to get the DVD, to add it to my movie collection, but it's too pricey for my budget.)

    1. There are too many movies to stick with ones that don't appeal.

Thanks for the recommendation on Coherence. I've opened the Tubi link and will watch it later today.
