Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is a 2018 fantasy film that takes place in the Harry Potter universe. If you are a Potter fan you can't resist this. If not, I'm not sure how much sense it would make to you.
I didn't think I'd like these, but I did. Better late than never lol If the 3rd one ever comes out I'll watch it, but I'll probably not got to the theater to see it. We'll have to see...
Because this blog does not consist of a single focus topic I chose the name Divers and Sundry where "Divers" means being of many and various kinds, and "Sundry" means consisting of a haphazard assortment of different kinds.
...I have never entered the Harry Potter universe.
ReplyDeleteMy kids were of the age when they first came out. I got into it that way.
DeleteI haven't seen this one. But I have heard a lot about it. Harry Potter is a lot of fun and I do enjoy those films. And once again, books also!
ReplyDeleteThe books are better for the original. I probably won't read this one, but I might re-watch the movie :)
DeleteYes, this is a wonderful movie plus I really like Eddie Redmayne. Right now I am watching Yentl. Enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteI remember Yentl! I re-watched a couple of Clint Eastwood westerns last night, but I've already blogged them so won't do that again.
DeleteI've seen both the Fantastic Beast films and will watch the rest but haven't enjoyed them as much as I did the Harry Potter books and films.
ReplyDeleteI agree. The originals are better. Just more to them somehow.
DeleteI've never read a Harry Potter book or seen a Harry Potter film. Guess it's not a universe for me to enter.
ReplyDeleteThe boarding school stories are an old genre, but Harry Potter adds magic! :)
DeleteDid you think it was too political? I loved the first one much more!
ReplyDeleteI didn't really notice the political element. 2nd films are never as good as the first ones were :(
DeleteThat's true, higher expectations. Maybe that's all it was!
DeleteMaybe, but it may just be they're coasting? Or trying too hard? lol It does seem to be common that the 2nd in a series is the low point.
DeleteI am a Harry Potter fan and loved this film with lots of very magical scenes. Valerie
ReplyDeleteWe're fans here, too. I love all the creatures :)
DeleteEddie Redmayne could read me thephone book and I'd be happy!
ReplyDeleteThis film is for you! :)
DeleteReally like Eddie Redmayne. Saw both of these films. Wild special effects. Quite a romp! :)
ReplyDeleteI thought they were both fun, too :)
DeleteFantastic Beasts is popular with many, but never been my cup of tea!
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
I've been a Harry Potter fan from the start, but only one of my kids liked them.
DeleteNever seen this myself but my friends loved this film 😀. Happy wishes! Hugs, Jo x
