The Daughter and her husband recently moved to St. Paul, MN, and she found this 42 on a recent walk in her neighborhood. I'm excited for them that they get to live in a blue state.
Yes, it must be tough being blue in a red state. It would for me. Here we are a relatively even mix, depending the town/city you are in. And lately, so many red folks have gone blue for obvious reasons. Nice find by your daughter. How does she like living up north?
She hates cold weather, so there's that lol But she's living in a winter wonderland where there'll always be snow for Christmas. She keeps posting videos of the snow on FB. She sent me a photo of a snow plow -we'd never seen one in person- and said, "It's Katy!" :)
It was an unexpected benefit :) We, on the other hand, are in one of about 3 blue spots in an otherwise red state. TN is one of the states involved in the SCOTUS case to take down Obamacare :(
Good find and nice to be blue. I live in OR a blue state, however we are also a state where people around the country move to and A LOT of them are bringing their red with them.
Yeah to the 42 found - shows there is some intelligence life there! Let's hope your new President will truly bring about the feeling of whole; red white & blue.
Biden does seem to be reaching out, talking about unity and one country. He's trying to reach out to Republicans in the legislature, but that's going slowly.
When I moved from Minnesota to North Dakota I didn't notice any political difference until Trump arrived on the scene. I was in the community room and made a casual remark about our new president (which I thought was thoroughly benal--could have said a lot worse) and a couple of these old ladies almost bit my head off about attacking him and not giving him a chance. Made me miss Minnesota even more--LOL! I don't think too many of them have changed their tune since the majority of them don't wear masks around the building here--even though they have signs up to do so. Since that has become such a political statement these days you can kind of guess, I suppose. There are a few of us who always have a mask on...but in a senior building with a lot of people in bad health you don't know if that is as clearly political...but when you see someone being helped to a car using a walker and none of them have masks on...well, maybe it is pretty clear after all. What a strange world we have fallen into. Hope we can survive between now and January without too much more damage done.
yea! I'm a person who moved to a blue state but am surrounded by trumpets in this neighborhood. I feel adrift in a boat made of reason, floating in a polluted ocean.
Because this blog does not consist of a single focus topic I chose the name Divers and Sundry where "Divers" means being of many and various kinds, and "Sundry" means consisting of a haphazard assortment of different kinds.
Very cool finding a 42 in her neighborhood
ReplyDeleteI was amazed. She was _really_ amazed!

ReplyDelete:)
Delete...blue is such a wonderful color!
ReplyDeleteWe think so lol

DeleteNot only did she find a 42, she lives in a blue state. I want to move to a blue state, but I'm stuck in the middle of red all around me.

ReplyDeleteI've heard the Northwest has a growing militia problem. The growth of the trump cult is hard to understand.
Delete42 is hopefully a good omen. Trump is a VERY big problem, the sooner he is removed, the better for the rest of the world. Valerie
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to believe he's being _this_ small. We knew he wouldn't be gracious, but this behavior is ugly to watch.
DeleteHow amazing to find a 42 in the neighborhood 😀. Happy wishes! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteI was amazed! She knew how excited I'd be :)
DeleteGo blue! I hope she settles well -- that's a good omen!
ReplyDeleteAll that snow! I'm thinking if they stay up there we may move up there to retire :)

ReplyDeleteThat mask-wearing has become politicized is sad.
DeleteI remember when Obama was elected, we could've used a bit of that "give him a chance" attitude :(
yea!

It's hard to know before you move in unless you move in during election season lol
DeleteIs that the same 42 in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy? OR a different 42?
ReplyDeletebe well... mae at maefood.blogspot.com
I look for them because of the Hitchhiker's Guide. I used to see them a lot, but less lately. I post about one a month.
