The Delightful Rogue

The Delightful Rogue is a 1929 pre-code adventure film starring Rod La Rocque as a modern-day pirate in the south seas. I watched it online but can't find so much as a trailer now.

  1. ..there's NOTHING delightful about our rogue.

    1. The way he's been casting doubt on our process without any evidence at all is dangerous.

  2. The picture reminds me of Scaramouche starring Burt Lancaster

    1. I do wish I could've shared the film. It's weird that it would've been up but now there's not even a trailer.

    1. I was in a pirate mood when I found this one. I'm sorry it's gone now.

  4. I enjoyed the image. It was a bit risque for the 20s, but at least it was pre-code.

Are you feeling any better about the election? I'm cautiously optimistic.

    1. I'm concerned about trump's rhetoric and behavior. It's obvious there are people who believe the nonsense he spews, and I worry he'll whip them up even more. Did you see his rant from the WH briefing room? Wow!

  5. I saw his rant and it embarrassed me as an American that our leader could be so childish. I think if he loses he is going to be doing insane things in his last few months, as well as lawsuits and ranting and probably things I can't even imagine right now. It's about him, not democracy, even though he would say differently. I haven't heard of Rod LaRocque and I wish i could say that about Donald Trump. Happy start to your weekend.

    1. His rant was embarrassing :( and I agree if he loses he won't concede but will fight in every court as long as any lawyer is willing to represent him. He'll use his last months to make things as hard as possible for the Biden administration. The lies I hear being pushed by his cultists are just them parroting what they hear from him and his surrogates.

And now Mark Meadows has tested positive for Covid-19 :(

  6. I am not a fan of pirates or westerns, so I'll leave this one out. Valerie

    1. There aren't nearly as many pirate movies as westerns.

  7. He'll fight tooth and nail to bully his way into keeping power. If the supreme court won't remain loyal to force a win for him then I think he'll flee the country. The man has never paid consequences in his life.

    1. It's been called, I've opened the champagne, and I'm spending a few hours in celebration. Trump will refuse to secede and fight every step of the way. Let him. It doesn't surprise me. He may leave the country if he thinks he'll face prison in NY state. No pardon can help him in NY state.

  10. It sounds like a fun movie. I've had that happen with some movie links: they're there, then later in time, they're gone. That happened with Laura, which was on archive.org, then got removed. :-(
