  1. Such a beautiful painting! The translucency of the dress and the way she captured the light is very special - delightful 😁. Happy T Day wishes! Hugs, Jo x

  2. That is an incredible painting. She certainly knew how to capture feelings and a mood. She had an eye for detail, too. It's a beautiful painting and absolutely perfect for T this Tuesday, dear.

  8. That is a wonderful painting but that lady looks worn out. Is she sad, or worn out from making Thanksgiving dinner? Maybe worried about something. But the artist did a wonderful job painting the lightness of heer beautiful dress. Hope your T day is going well.

    1. I think she's reached the tragic point in that book. I've read books that had this effect.

  14. What a beautiful painting -- so very evocative. There is a story to this painting just waiting to be written. Or maybe it already has been.

  16. What a beautiful painting. I can imagine this young woman flopping down at the end of a busy day, with the red rays of the setting sun coming through the window....

  18. Beautiful painting. I can't help wondering what she is thinking. Does she feel trapped at home like many people today? The lighting on her face is perfect.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving and Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen

  19. Her self portrait shows a beautiful, strong looking woman. She was clearly talented - I love the wistful look in this girls face and the way her dress falls is beautiful! Belated Happy T day, Chrisx
