My Name is Nobody

My Name Is Nobody is a 1973 comedy spaghetti western starring Terrence Hill and Henry Fonda. The music is by Ennio Morricone, which is reason enough to watch it. I saw it on tubitv, or you can watch it via DailyMotion:

Spaghetti-Western.net says it "simply works marvelously as an allegory for a dying era an a dying genre." AV Club calls it "The definitive spaghetti Western parody". Rotten Tomatoes has a critics consensus score of 100%.

  1. I'm adding this to the watch list for a day when it is cold. Not like today which is suppose to be about 75 degrees. I can see how you enjoy living with these temperatures for more of the year than we get. This film sounds good, and I love the T day snap from it. Happy T!

    1. It's 75 right now here with a predicted high of 78. 78! So strange. Some years it feels like it's summer with highs in the 90s one week and then fall with highs of 60 the next, so I'm enjoying this warmer fall.

    1. You do hafta like the spaghetti westerns to get anything out of the comic takes.

  6. I never did like any kind of Westerns- but did watch Rooster Cogburn- only because Katharine Hepburn was in it;) Happy T day!

    1. I didn't used to like westerns when I thought John Wayne was all that was. I've tried to branch out.

  9. I don't recall that movie. I'll ask hubby to look for it to stream for us.

Thank you for your comment on my blog. I half moon pose suggestions for you. I always stay close to a wall that I can touch if needed. Looking down rather than up makes it easier to keep your balance. Focus your eyes intently on one point. The yoga word for eye focus is drishti. The studio I used to attend was named Drishti. It's closed now of course. But they've gone online at Drishti Center (https://drishticenter.com/). They offer a 15-day free trial.

Happy T-Day! Stay safe and stay well. Hugs, Eileen

    1. Oh, I do miss TCM, but we don't even have cable any more. I've grown attached to Netflix, Amazon Prime, and the various online options like Tubi.

  11. I remember watching it back in the day. I was still living in Italy then and Terrence Hill was(is) hugely popular. I remember it was funny, but I had to watch it in Italian, which is weird to hear actors that you know being dubbed over in Italian.
I also know Terrence Hill as an innovator of gluten free flour and products. There was very little choice back then. I think he was a coeliac or someone close to him.
    Happy T-Day,
    Hugs,

    1. I hope you like it. I got a kick out of it even though the comedy spaghetti westerns aren't my favorite sub-genre. Sub-sub-genre? lol
