Iris Garden
I went by the Memphis Botanic Garden to see how their Iris Garden was looking a couple of weeks ago. It was beautiful, and I planned to try to get The Grandmother to go with me one day.
Then she ended up in the hospital. At least irises aren't her favorite flower. We'll have to see what's in bloom when she's finally able to get back out. It might give her something to look forward to.

Oh WOW. Those irises are amazing. Not my favorite flower, either, but I like them. They are my choice for flower pounding, too. Very juicy and should not be left in a vase too long. Don't ask how I know!!
ReplyDeleteoooo, mushy/slimy iris remains. that could keep them from becoming a favorite flower ;). but i love all the colors. mother says they used to call them "flags". they are our state flower, so a lot of people grow them around here.
