Artworks That Define Christmas

This Guardian article includes some beautiful images but not a single depiction of a drink.

I'll be having espresso in this sweet cup The Daughter gave me. Please post your own drink reference and join us at the T Stands for Tuesday blogger gathering.

This is our Advent calendar, made for us by Mother when the kids were little:

  3. That collection of holiday art is gorgeous. I especially liked the peaceful winter scenes. That really is a beautiful cup, and it looks very regal on the poinsettia table runner. And festive too. I must say I just love that hand made advent calendar you shared too. Your mom was really talented and you must cherish those long loved items. Have a great T day Nita.

  5. Wow, what an amazing little cup and such a beautiful gift from your daughter ☺️. Loving your advent calender too, it's full of nostalgia and a fun way to count down to Christmas. I hope you are keeping well and sorry I haven't been around, we've been visiting family and went to Prague for a few days, it was very Christmasy and we had an amazing time. Wishing you joy and happiness, Merry Christmas! Hugs, Jo x

  8. I enjoyed seeing your two family treasures that you use to celebrate Christmas. I wonder if that art collection is as recognizable to the average person as an ad featuring Santa Claus.

  14. Your daughter has good taste. This is a beautiful cup and lid. I was also enamored with the advent calendar your mother made. I really miss you, but have no energy to post or even visit daily. Thanks beyond belief for sharing your cup and advent calendar with us for T this Tuesday, dear Nita.

  15. This Advent calendar your mom sewed is adorable.
I like your cup and I also like to drink espresso from time to time, but never at home because I don't have a machine for it. I always look at the cups before I buy a coffee or expresso somewhere :-)))
It's a pleasure to drink from a beautiful cup.
    A hug for you.
