  4. I vaguely remember this show. I did get a little confused at first because isn't that Aunt Bee? Of course she's acted in other things, and she does a great job here. Happy New year-almost.

    1. She was an actual actress once upon a time :) Yes, she's well cast here, I think.

  5. I’ll watch this on my iPad this evening. I enjoy old movies very much. In Georgia my late husband used to watch all the old movies on Ted Turner classic TV but in Nashville I don’t have it. I did find a site on YouTube that shows old French movies. Right now I am watching a 1946 movie with the French singer Tino Rossi, about Christmas. It is fun.
I wish you a Happy New Year, filled with more happy times and great health.

  9. what a gem of a movie. May her words not to use idle talk ring out among the powerful in our country. I am crying because this was how I was raised, believing good wins out in the end, and that integrity grace and kindness are worthy qualities. Thank you for sharing so many films with us this year, may this year be one of grace kindness and integrity. Love, LeeAnna

    1. It'd be wonderful if we could still believe, but hope is thin on the ground here :( I'd say the coming year can't be worse, but that seems like inviting disaster...

But we'll still have old movies and blogging buddies to be our companions through it all :)

  10. Such a sweet story! I love some of the old shows and movies because they showed morals and doing the right thing prevailing over doing wrong or doing nothing. Standing up for what a person believes is right...without hurting others. Compassion. Missing too much in some of today's world. Been thinking about right and wrong a lot the past four years. ;) Was a "good" story. :)
