Viktor Frankenstein is a 2015 film. It's the Frankenstein story told from the perspective of Igor, who is played by Daniel Radcliffe. We picked up the DVD used, because we're always up for another look at Frankenstein. Radcliffe does a wonderful job.
Yes, agreed. I have seen this film, but I will admit I didn't remember it until I saw the image on the preview. I think it was something my hubby had on and I popped into and missed a bit of the beginning. Happy Sunday!
I had pre-scheduled this post for October and had forgotten it completely lol It's not gonna be a memorable moment in Frankenstein re-tellings, I don't think, but it's worth seeing.
I know I saw this when it came out on Netflix and I remember it as being quite funny in spots. Seems to me it starts out better than it finishes? Not overly memorable, shall we say.
Do you remember which one was the one where Frankenstein followed the monster to the North Pole or somewhere like that? I remember that one being a good one. :)
The 2004 Donald Sutherland may be the one you're talking about, where they end up in the Arctic. https://divers-and-sundry.blogspot.com/2017/10/frankenstein-2004.html It was a 2-part mini-series and the only faithful adaptation of the book I know of.
I was glad to see Radcliffe doing well. It's hard when you love an actor in a part but then don't see him much afterwards. I was happy he was showing up and doing well :)
Because this blog does not consist of a single focus topic I chose the name Divers and Sundry where "Divers" means being of many and various kinds, and "Sundry" means consisting of a haphazard assortment of different kinds.
I don't think I heard of this. Might have to give it a peek
ReplyDeleteI was impressed with Radcliffe. I've been surprised not to have seen him in more.

DeleteYes, it's a good film. Valerie
ReplyDeleteThat's a story that has had as much staying power as Dracula.
