Macbeth (1948)
Macbeth is the 1948 film adaptation of the Shakespeare play. This is directed by Orson Welles. Welles stars as Macbeth, and Roddy Macdowell is Malcolm. The play is abridged and altered for this movie, so this won't be a substitute for seeing the actual play performed.

MacBeth is a great play. Nice pick for Halloween.
ReplyDeleteThx! I like this adaptation :)
DeleteI know I saw this one long, long ago.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend. :)
I think I remember seeing this on TV at some point.
DeleteYou're not supposed to say the name of the play. That's bad luck. You're supposed to call it "The Scottish Play"
ReplyDeleteThat's just in a theater except as it's required for rehearsal or performance. I've never known anybody who was associated with a performance of this play, but even when involved with other plays the theater people I know avoid this word.
DeleteI know and love this one! Valerie
ReplyDeleteOrson Welles was a genius, wasn't he!
DeleteOnce again, I feel so foolish. I never got into Shakespeare, but this sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteI never got into reading them, but I enjoy watching them.
