The Big Bugs exhibit at the Memphis Botanic Garden contains a series of large insect sculptures. The website says, "Representing eight different species, this nationally recognized traveling art exhibit features ten giant wooden bug sculptures towering up to 18 feet tall. Big Bugs will inhabit all 96 acres of the Memphis Botanic Garden." The artist is David Rogers.

DeleteMy favorite is the dragonfly on the branch in the water. It is fabulous. They are all great, but that one really captured my imagination.
ReplyDeleteIt's been nice here, too. Yesterday was mid-60s, and I loved it. Today is sunny and appears it will be equally beautiful. Tuesday the bottom is supposed to fall out and winter will truly be here, it appears.
I love the dragonfly on the water! I kept trying but was never able to get a photo of it as good as the others.
DeleteWe're mirroring your weather except for warmer. We're expecting another sunny day with highs in the low 70s F, but then much colder and rain starting tomorrow (Tuesday). Brrrrr! Low predicted is 29!
I also love the dragonfly by the water there. I cannot for the life of me remember who showed pictures of these traveling bugs this past year. What are the odds I would know two bloggers who have been to see the traveling bugs in different parts of the country--LOL! That is so cool! :)
ReplyDeleteWe are supposed to have snow today. Highs in the teens and low 20s and mostly in the single digits at night this week. Winter is here. ;)
It is touring, but I can't remember where else it has been. I bet it's a challenge to pack up and move. We have rain and are expecting a high today in the 50s. Such a difference between us! Our lows are higher than your highs.
