Chinatown is a 1974 American neo-noir mystery film directed by Roman Polanski and starring Jack Nicholson and Faye Dunaway. I had somehow never seen this one, though I remember when it was released and had heard about it for years. I watched it free with my Amazon Prime subscription.
trailer:
Roger Ebert has it on his list of Great Movies. 99% of Rotten Tomatoes critics give it possitive reviews.
Once again, there is something wrong with my internet. All I see is a box of black and there is NO way to click on a link. Fortunately, I remember seeing this film on VHS years ago (does anyone besides me remember VHS?).
I love that teapot and that beautiful blue cup and saucer. Your Afternoon Black Tea sounds intriguing and I like what appears to be cinnamon toast, too. Thanks for sharing the film and your tea with us for T this Tuesday, dear Nita.
Now that looks like a great breakfast or lunch. I like the teapot and the cup. And I know I've seen Chinatown, or at least I think I did since I can't remember the film's story off the top of my head. Hope it was a lovely T day Nita.
It looks really good. I may have to watch it soon. He was super handsome when he was young. Unfortunately, I will always see him as the man in The Shining....or the Joker..... Lovely looking tea. Happy T-day and hugz
Very pretty tea pot & cup. Cheers. One of the ladies I worked with for years quoted a line from Chinatown "she's my sister, she's my daughter" at some of the oddest moments in tense meetings, but always got a chuckle from the boss.
Because this blog does not consist of a single focus topic I chose the name Divers and Sundry where "Divers" means being of many and various kinds, and "Sundry" means consisting of a haphazard assortment of different kinds.
...I'll pass on the tea.
ReplyDeleteSaw that so long ago. Might have to peek at it again. :)

ReplyDeleteI've never seen this movie. Don't think it's for me. I'll have a cup of tea, though, and is that a slice or raisin bread? Yes, please. Happy T Day
