Happy Birthday, Donovan!

Universal Soldier:

as sung by Donovan, who is observing a birthday today.

Sunshine Superman:

Hurdy Gurdy Man:

and, of course, Mellow Yellow, which may be my favorite:

  1. Donovan was a favourite of my Mom's along with The Byrds. Her favourite of Donovan's was Jennifer Juniper ... what a trip down memory lane! Thanks.

  2. I had to look up how old he was. These are some great oldies, and I hope he's celebrating in style.

  5. I asked Alexa how old Donovan was. 77. Five years older than I am. I always liked him back when. Universal Soldier was a favorite and Jennifer Juniper. I was a pacifist...still an old Minnesota hippy at heart. I was just on YouTube and see him as a sweet older man with long white hair. Still has that something. :)

  11. I've heard two of the songs. I am not really familiar with him, though. I DO wish him a happy birthday.
