Three young boys are given the responsibility of carrying Christmas gifts to the mission church in the costumes of the Three Wise Men. When they ride through the poorest section of the village, the boys decide to give the presents to the ragged children instead, causing a crisis in conscience in the community.
Happy Epiphany!
Happy Epiphany to you. I am wondering if a crisis in conscience isn't sometimes a good thing. This one certainly got the community thinking/reflecting & the young children acted with their heart.
ReplyDeleteA crisis of conscience would be a good thing here, but the people with the power seem immune :( and the trump cult followers have no conscience.
DeleteThis country could have been "woke" so much sooner
ReplyDeleteThe protests in D.C. show how far from woke we are.
DeleteIt's interesting to see these older shows. I keep wondering how they'd fly now on TV.
ReplyDeleteI like to think they'd do well. A few of these kinds of plots in place of the romance-y shows the services are full of would certainly be welcome here.
Delete...I remember Dupont's shows.
ReplyDeleteI don't but am so pleased to discover them on Youtube :)
DeleteThe poor children needed the gifts a lot more than the wealthy they were originally intended for. Not bad because it didn't cross the line of religion and secular, at least in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteThe religious observances were so intertwined in their everyday lives.
DeleteI enjoyed this very much. I agree with you on you reply to Patio Postcards.
ReplyDeleteWe should start a petition. Oh, wait, petitions are always useless wastes of time ...
DeleteHappy Epiphany to you.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Thank you :)
DeleteWe need people with conscience! Valerie
ReplyDeleteYes, that'd be nice :(
