Beautiful painting. Happy T Day, Valerie
ReplyDeletePerfect scene. She's able to have her coffee and enjoy the peace and quiet of the house before everyone else wakes up.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful painting! She looks so restful and I love the halo of light around her head 😀. Wishing you a Happy T Tuesday! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDelete...I have always enjoyed still lifes and this is a lovely one.
ReplyDeleteI cannot decide if the lady in the painting is lovingly looking at the dog or is she napping at the table after a bad night's sleep, hoping that the coffee will wake her up ... I also at first glance thought the dog looked a lot like a wombat, but then again I've been watching far too many videos from the wombat rescue in Australia. (lol)
ReplyDeleteWe have a special love of wombats here. That and Tasmanian devils. We'll make this one a wombat ;)
DeleteWhat a beautiful painting ~ so serene ~ Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful painting and so appropriate for the T-Gang. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteYou always come up with the most incredible paintings. This one is stunning. So glad the "still life" includes a cup of coffee or tea. Thanks for this great art work and links you shared for T this Tuesday, dear friend.
ReplyDeletesuch a poignant painting. I have done this so many times with each of the dogs I've had to comfort them if they weren't well or recuperating from a surgery...I do miss having one now.
ReplyDeleteHappy T day!
Such a lovely painting.
ReplyDeleteHappy T Day :)
All the best Jan
Thanks for introducing me to an artist I don't know anything about. This is a great painting, and I linked over to see more. Wow. I am in love with his art. Hope it was a warm and beautiful T day.
ReplyDeleteOh How I love Bonnard's work! I saw them while living near DC... how did he make the dog look so perfect? And capture the gesture of the woman.
ReplyDeleteOH, I like that painting. A moment captured. :)
ReplyDeleteThere are many odd things about that painting like the way the light falls and the odd-looking dog. But still, it draws you in to ponder them.
ReplyDeleteHappy T-day! Eileen
Oh! Imagine starting the day in such way! Although by choice I would have a cat a dog would make me smile too! A very belated Happy T day, Chrisx
