trailer:
The Hollywood Reporter says, "Beautiful and sensitive to character but gripping when it needs to be, the pic is too grounded to be lumped into the apocalyptic genre bin". Roger Ebert's site closes by saying, "find a way to see "Into the Forest," for it is the kind of film that will not only stick with you, it will even make you think."
Is this what gave you your nightmare?
ReplyDeleteNo, this was scheduled. I don't remember when I actually watched it.
DeleteI've seen this. Post apocalyptic films are not my thing, but if I take away that, it wasn't a badly made movie. Happy Saturday!
ReplyDeleteI thought so, but I like the post-apocalyptic movies.
Delete...the recent events have been apocalyptic enough for me.
ReplyDeleteAnd it's not over yet
DeleteI guess I need Netflix.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize how much I'd watch it. I did a free trial, and there was so much there!
DeleteAh yes--was an very interesting take, I thought. Kind of like an intimate slice of life picture during an apocalypse...and after, I guess. A very personal, close up view to make you think. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree! It worked well as a drama. I loved how they handled it.
DeleteSounds good, thanks. Valerie
ReplyDeleteI did enjoy this one. It's got more female characters than these films usually do, and they're well-written and acted. And I thought the plot development good and well-paced.
DeleteI'm not sure about watching post-apocalyptic thing these days. I think we are living post-apocalyptic -- or on the way. That said, this one looks pretty interesting. I may have to add this to my list.
ReplyDeleteI really did like this. It's better than the news ;)
DeleteSeriously, I just watched this, again, on Friday. It is one of my faves. I like Elliot Page and really like Evan Rachel Wood. This is a good one for sure.
ReplyDeleteI was impressed. You never know beforehand, but this one is worth re-watching.
