Riders of Destiny is a 1933 John Wayne western with Gabby Hayes. If you like John Wayne or old westerns, you'll like this. It's just under an hour long, and sometimes I long for the days when you could get a feature-length film at an hour.
Sometimes these shorter ones are perfect. When I see a movie length approaching 3 hours I wonder why, oh why, didn't they find a way to cut it down some. It's not like we get an intermission these days :(
Because this blog does not consist of a single focus topic I chose the name Divers and Sundry where "Divers" means being of many and various kinds, and "Sundry" means consisting of a haphazard assortment of different kinds.
...we watched Harriet yesterday, it was wonderful, but at a bit under 2 hours my attention span was challenged.

DeleteI don't think I've heard of this one
ReplyDeleteThere were so many of these old westerns...
DeleteSorry, no western for me! Valerie
ReplyDeleteThis one would be for western-lovers only, and not one I'd recommend even as an intro to westerns for a skeptic.
DeleteI would like shorter feature films too. Going to go check this out. Thanks. You got to love John Wayne.
ReplyDeleteYou know what you're getting with John Wayne :) He's a classic.
DeleteNot much of a John Wayne fan so I know I'd pass on this one.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day! :)
I think he's predictable, and I like him best in old westerns. When he branches out into non-Western roles he's not as good.

ReplyDeleteI hadn't either. I've never heard of most of what I watch lol
