by Elsa Carolina Celsing, a Russian-born Swedish artist who died on April 19, 1974. The drink (or the glass waiting for a drink?) in this painting is posted to connect with the bloggers at the T Stands for Tuesday gathering hosted by Bleubeard and Elizabeth. Please share a drink in your post and join us. You'll receive a warm welcome.

I'm always amazed by painters that can paint glass objects and make them look like glass or crystal. Another great crop of ATCs. The one titled with Warm Beginnings could also qualify you for a T Day post.
ReplyDeleteAnd something for you today and your 42. 42 was Jackie Robinson's number in baseball. Every year, MLB players playing the game wear his number to honor the inroads and contributions he made to the sport. 42 is the only number that has been retired in major league baseball. 4/16/2019 is Jackie Robinson Day. Find a MLB game to watch and you'll see lots of 42s. (-:
Yes, Jackie Robinson Day is cool. I did a 42 post on that a year ago. All those 42s! :)
DeleteI thought you would like all the 42s
DeleteOh, yes! I remember asking my husband how they could tell the players apart for the purposes of the actual game when everybody was a 42, and he looked at me like I was nuts lol
DeleteEnjoyed seeing the painting and all of your atc's Do you store them all in a scrapbook of some sort/ Love your creativity with these atc's
ReplyDeleteHappy T wishes Kathy
I store them in a notebook in those baseball card holder pages. I just recently had to buy a bigger notebook lol

Some very interesting art pieces today. I like your foil art.
ReplyDeleteLovely art. Amazing how artists manage to paint glass that is supposed to be transparent. Very clever. Tobe honest i don't like to see a glass empty. I would always fill it. and here I am aching to fill it with something nice like a good wine!
ReplyDeleteHappy belated T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
What a great painting by Celsing. I was really impressed by the beauty of the crystal and how well it was represented.
