Madhumati
Madhumati is an award-winning 1958 Indian supernatural romance about star-crossed lovers who, through reincarnation, are reunited. I don't like romance in general, but this is a fascinating and beautiful film. The music is wonderful.

I wish I had time to watch this, but romance and I don't get along that well. Thanks for sharing it, though.
ReplyDeleteHow are the fennel seeds doing? Mine are still in the package because I have no place inside to start them and it's too cold to plant them outside until I'm sure we won't get another hard freeze.
Yes, I agree, romances are not often worth watching.
DeleteI've planted some of the fennel seeds in the ground and some in a pot. Nothing's showing yet, but I still am hopeful. I bought a few potted herbs the other day and got them planted in pots outside in time for the most recent round of rain. I picked up basil, more German thyme, and spearmint (which inexplicable died last year). My zinnia seeds are suffering from bird and chipmunk attention :(
I can't believe your spearmint died, but I left mine out, so it may not come back a third year.
DeleteMy spearmint died because it was in a pot without good drainage. I poured off the standing water every once in a while, but as you can imagine that didn't help. So when I _said_ it inexplicably died it was actually perfectly understandable lol
DeleteThis sounds like a film I might like to watch-will keep it in mind and look for it when we move to the lake house we will have "real" wifi with very fast speed so will be able to stream it yeah
ReplyDeleteI answered your comment on my blog-but thought I would comment here too-are you putting out niger seed for the goldfinches? that is their most favorite food.
These Indian films fascinate me. I love the music :) How nice that you'll have good speed!
DeleteI just now saw your response to my goldfinch comment and have responded there. I've tried niger seed. The goldfinches ignore it :(
