Oh Wow such a beautiful place! When I was a child we had a place similiar to this nearby that our parents always took us to-especially in the spring time-always so up lifting after winter. Thanks for the memories and sharing Happy Monday Kathy
There was a couple there the day I was who had brought their 3 year old daughter for the first time. I bet they bring her back and she'll have fond memories like ours :)
What a magnificent tulip garden oh and those Azaleas are amazing ... seeing these photos gives me more hope that yes spring will arrive - right now it's snowing big wet flakes & I could say some very rude things but I won't. :)
I'd be saying rude things, too, if we were having snow after all the wet/gray days we've had. It rained here all week-end long but sunshine rules today :)
There's been so much rain! The dogwood blossoms have really suffered. I'm glad there are some scattered sunny days for outings like this. It was the perfect day for a garden trip.
I think this must be something you dreamed. It is just too beautiful. Wow, azaleas and tulips. They are the best. A nice chance to see these while I wait another month or so for ours to bloom here. Hugs-Erika
Life in the South is definitely more my speed :) Your long winters and snowy Aprils are too cold for my taste. Of course some people complain about our long, hot, steamy summers ;) but not me :)
Not sure how I missed this, but I love those tulips. They remind me of my front yard with the yellow and red stripes. I got mine at our botanical gardens several years ago after they had been pulled up. The Garden charged $0.25 for one bulb and no one knew what color(s) they were getting. By the time I got throu8gh the line there weren't that many left, I was lucky to even get any. I really enjoyed seeing both the azaleas (which I tried to grow in MO, but not here) and the gorgeous tulips.
Because this blog does not consist of a single focus topic I chose the name Divers and Sundry where "Divers" means being of many and various kinds, and "Sundry" means consisting of a haphazard assortment of different kinds.

DeleteGorgeous! Especially on this dreary, rainy day

DeleteWonderful pictures! I especially like the yellow and red mix in a couple of them.

The yellows and reds look good together, I agree. Their garden designers do a great job :)

ReplyDeleteThey do a beautiful job there! Our tulips and azaleas will be done by the time yours start. I'll look forward to photos on _your_ blog then :)

DeleteWonderful photos, what a gorgeous place to visit. Valerie
ReplyDeleteThey really are a special place, especially in the spring. But summers are good, too, with their colorful cutting gardens.
