Hit Man (Netflix) is a 2023 romantic black comedy starring Glen Powell as a professor of psychology and philosophy at the University of New Orleans who also works undercover with the New Orleans Police Department assisting in undercover sting operations. When a fellow cop who portrays fake hitmen to solicit murder-for-hire confessions and payments from “customers,” is suspended, Gary is unwillingly ushered into the role. I tend to like black comedies but gave up on this one fairly early on. I must be missing something, since almost all the critic reviews are positive. If any of you have watched it, please clue me in.

..if you gave up, I won't start!
ReplyDeleteTastes differ, though.
DeleteI have no Netflix....
ReplyDeleteWe almost cancel Netflix every month or so. Then we find more we want to watch.
DeleteI haven't seen it, but it might be a good Sunday night movie. You know, before bed when you don't want anything too difficult to watch or too scary....Happy Saturday Nita.
ReplyDeleteYes, I like those kinds of movies. The perfect mindless entertainment.
DeleteIt's in my watchlist but haven't gotten to it. Looked questionable to me--lol! One of those movies that could go either way.
ReplyDeleteYou might like it. Let me know :)
DeleteYou said thumbs down, so I'll pass
ReplyDeleteMy tastes don't always agree with other folks, though...
DeleteIt was rather repetitive in the beginning it did get a little better as it went on but was just ok overall.
ReplyDeleteThe repetitive was why I quit watching. Maybe I'll go back to it... Thx!
DeleteSorry. Never heard of it before.
ReplyDeleteIt was new to me, too.
