The movie Gidget was one of his early roles. In it he plays Moondoggie, Gidget's romantic interest. Also in this film are Sandra Dee (as Gidget), Cliff Robertson, Arthur O'Connell, Yvonne Craig, and Doug McClure. You can watch it free at Tubi.

I was a huge fan of his in the TV series Time Tunnel. Here's the first episode:
It only ran for one season, because network decision-makers were clueless.
...this sure is a flash from the past.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it! Like a time capsule.
DeleteCall me weird but this movie is on my wishlist. One of these days I am going spent the money to watch it on Amazon. And if it becomes free, I will watch it sooner. Happy mid-week Nita.
ReplyDeleteIt's free on Tubi!
DeleteI loved all the Gidget movies (well, Gidget goes to Rome was pretty lame, but the others were fun!)
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen most of them.
DeleteSorry, I've never heard of any of theses films, series or actors. Have a great day, Valerie
ReplyDeleteWow! We live in different entertainment worlds lol
DeleteI preferred Sally Field as Gidget from the TV show. Abostively loved Time Tunnel though I was a fan of Robert Colbert
ReplyDeleteSally Field made a great Gidget. I'm surprised it only lasted a year.
DeleteI remember the movie (cute) but I don't remember the TV series. Will have to peek. ;)
ReplyDeleteSally Field was well cast as Gidget. I haven't see it since it first aired. I wonder if it's available anywhere...
DeleteI definitely remember Sally Field and the Gidget series. I meant I didn't remember The Time Tunnel. I did peek BTW but it didn't keep my interest. Oh well.
DeleteTime Tunnel depends on being watched in strict series order. It was a wonderful exploration of historic events. I think it starts off with the Titanic (iirc).
DeleteI remember watching the Time Tunnel, not the individual stories but the going through the tunnel and being somewhere else. Just some pure escapist fun.
ReplyDeleteI do not like time travel stories with very few exceptions, but this is one exception.
DeleteI never saw a Gidget movie, and never heard of Time Tunnel, but I will watch the episode when I catch up visiting everyone.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen Time Tunnel in ages and don't know how well it hold up. I was a big fan back in the day, though.
