...this one is lovely.
ReplyDeleteStill wicked cold today. A perfect day to stay in and sip a cup of coffee. I'll join you with a cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteanother artist I was not familiar with thanks. we are bracing for a winter storm here
ReplyDeleteI think your storm will get here Thursday. Here's hoping it's not a bad one.
DeleteThanks for another artist introduction- I love this style of art. Happy T day!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, I remember him being a Cubist painter and love his French Landscape painting! He has a lovely way of combining shapes and colours 😁. Happy T Tuesday! Hugs Jo x
ReplyDeleteVery Cubist, a bit like Picasso's period, love the coffee cup. Happy T Day Elle/EOTC xx
ReplyDeleteI really like the colors in this painting.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day,
Kate
I have always liked his art. He was one of the first Cubist painters I noticed when I started following art styles. His work was so colorful, hearkening back to his Fauvist roots. This is a wonderful painting and perfect for T this Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteWe have been under a winter storm WARNING since last night until Thursday noon. Not looking forward to the 12+ inches they are predicting for me.
They're predicting ice for us on Thursday. We'll see. I won't believe it 'til I see it lol
DeleteWe got mostly snow the first round. The second round is coming tonight (actually Thur. morning).
DeleteWe're getting freezing rain right now. I'm watching the rain and the icicles out my patio door. The power just blinked off, which is not something I want to deal with. I'm glad it didn't stay off. At least I can stay in! I don't envy the folks who hafta get out.
DeleteI hope your snow is light -relatively speaking anyway ;)
Oh, that pipe. Hubby promised to let go of that. Think he secretly uses it...
ReplyDeleteThis is a cool piece. I like that mid-century modern look-if that's the style it actually is. I love the shape of the coffee pot. I hope you are having a nice T day, and I just noticed your response to Elizabeth. I hope you don't get ice. That can be such a mess. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteIf we get ice I'll post photos on Facebook. We seldom get snow or ice, but when we do we're ill-prepared and don't know how to handle it.
DeleteCubism seemed so radical 100+ years ago, but now seems rather soothing and normal -- like this nice domestic scene that's quite lovely. I also admire the Cézanne paintings that were the precursors of cubism.
ReplyDeletebest... mae at maefood.blogspot.com
There is so much to see in this painting! And I love how he uses only a few colors, they go so well together.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing that artist. I have to say I like that art!
ReplyDeleteGreat art - so perfect for T-day. The artist was very talented. Thanks for sharing!!! Happy Tday.
