  4. What a sad life she must have had, to be so down when drinking such a delicate cup of tea.

    1. I think she's paying a condolence call. Yes, we're good so far. Rain, sometimes heavy, but no flooding near me and no tornadoes that I've heard of. Thanks :)

  11. From such another time. She looks rather bored or despondent in her elegance. Maybe she is just plain tired of holding the saucer and teacup for the artist--LOL!

  14. I read that at the time of this painting, tea was very expensive and they ate the leaves after drinking the tea. Yuck! Interesting though. She seems very sad. Lovely painting to share! Happy T-day!!!!

  18. At first I thought she looked sad, but after a few moments with her, I realize that is a look of contentment - finally a moment to herself & tea to revive ...

  19. I don't have a drink-related post to share, but I am captivated by the picture you chose, even though the subject doesn't appear to be enjoying her cup of tea!

  21. Thanks for introducing me to an artist I had not heard of before. I thought she looked contemplative when I first saw the image. It's a beautiful painting, and perfect for T this week, Nita.
