She is so elegant with her hat and lace scarf.
ReplyDelete...so genteel.
ReplyDeleteLOL, she should maybe add some... ???? whiskey or such to make her smile!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sad life she must have had, to be so down when drinking such a delicate cup of tea.
ReplyDeletebest... mae at maefood.blogspot.com
Beautiful, she looks so forlorn 😁. The lace detail is amazing. Happy T Tuesday wishes! Hugs Jo x
ReplyDeleteShe is lovely, but she looks a bit sad. I hope it's not her tea. Smile. I hope your safe from the storms and no tornadoes. Happy T day. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI think she's paying a condolence call. Yes, we're good so far. Rain, sometimes heavy, but no flooding near me and no tornadoes that I've heard of. Thanks :)
DeleteSuch elegant attire, but she looks so sad...

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful painting. She looks rather sad.
ReplyDeleteShe doesn't look very happy, but it's a beautiful painting.
ReplyDeleteFrom such another time. She looks rather bored or despondent in her elegance. Maybe she is just plain tired of holding the saucer and teacup for the artist--LOL!
ReplyDeleteA stunning piece of art. She does look very sad.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day,
Kate
You find the most interesting paintings-I really like this one
ReplyDeleteI read that at the time of this painting, tea was very expensive and they ate the leaves after drinking the tea. Yuck! Interesting though. She seems very sad. Lovely painting to share! Happy T-day!!!!
ReplyDeleteShe is so elegant and sad looking. Love the paintings you share. Happy T Day!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful painting. She looks rather sad. I wonder if she is in mourning (dark veil and dark clothes etc)
ReplyDeleteHappy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
She does look sad though, maybe they forgot to put the gin in her tea? Happy T Day Elle/EOTC xx
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought she looked sad, but after a few moments with her, I realize that is a look of contentment - finally a moment to herself & tea to revive ...
ReplyDeleteI don't have a drink-related post to share, but I am captivated by the picture you chose, even though the subject doesn't appear to be enjoying her cup of tea!
ReplyDeleteShe looks tired and really does need a cup of tea. A brilliant piece of art. Have a very nice day.
ReplyDeleteThanks for introducing me to an artist I had not heard of before. I thought she looked contemplative when I first saw the image. It's a beautiful painting, and perfect for T this week, Nita.
ReplyDeleteOoh! There's a story here for sure! Belated Happy T Day, Chrisx
