Glory and Freedom of Ukraine Has Not Yet Perished

The national anthem of Ukraine:
Ukraine’s glory hasn’t perished, nor freedom, nor will.
Upon us, fellow kin, fate shall smile once more.
Our enemies will vanish, like dew in the morning sun,
And we too shall rule, brothers, in a free land of our own.

We’ll lay down our souls and bodies to attain our freedom,
And we’ll show that we, brothers, are of the Kozak line.
We’ll lay down our souls and bodies to attain our freedom,
And we’ll show that we, brothers, are of the Kozak nation.

  1. I meant, thank you, Nita. I looked at my phone while I was writing as Linda called. Duh.

  2. This is beautiful. I think most of the world would love to sing that with Ukrainians, too.

  3. Oh, it doesn´t look good, I just saw horrible scenes in the news and that crazy man treats with nuclear weapons already. I wish the people peace and freedom, in both countries. The Russians don´t want the war...

  4. We have a large Ukrainians population in our village, so on Sunday we sang the national hymn of the Ukrainian people - it was quite moving. Thanks for sharing the words of their anthem.

  5. They are going to need more than an inspirational anthem, unfortunately.
