various and assorted miscellany
...somehow I missed it.
ReplyDeleteI saw it listed as one of the best horror films on Netflix
DeleteNot a horror fan but I'm curious. Is it a real monster or someone you would call a monster?
ReplyDeleteA real monster. I realize now that wasn't at all clear lol
DeleteI think I will miss this one!
ReplyDeleteYou do need to like horror films for this one...
DeleteI love this movie.
ReplyDeleteIt surprised me :) I liked it, too
DeleteI'm usually not a fan, unless it's vintage horror. I'll have to check this one out.
ReplyDeleteI love the old monster movies. Some of the newer horror is really not much more than reinterpretations of those same old ideas.
DeleteI think I'll pass. Not a fan of horror or monsters. For once I'm not sorry I don't have Netflix.
ReplyDeleteI'm hearing promotions of romance and political thriller films lately. I'll take horror over those any day ;)
DeleteI hate romance, but what in the world is a political thriller? Shades of Jan 6, 2021?
DeleteSome examples would be The Manchurian Candidate, All the President's Men, Three Days Of The Condor, Air Force One, The Post, the Jack Ryan tv series... I'm sure there've been some that are 9/11 related, though I haven't seen any of those. Eventually there'll be some based on 1/6. According to Wikipedia it's "a thriller that is set against the backdrop of a political power struggle". I've enjoyed some of them, but I don't tend to seek them out.
DeleteOh, I nearly already got a heart attack!!! Love it. (well, not that I would really love to get a heart attack!)
ReplyDeletePretend scares are better by far than real ones lol
DeleteHmmm, a riff on King Kong?
ReplyDeleteMore a riff on the Creature from the Black Lagoon.
DeleteI'll give this one a pass.
ReplyDeleteSomething out there for everybody... it's just not the _same_ something ;)
