I've heard of this but I don't recognize the actual film at all. Let me chalk that up that up to my less than complete film background. Smile. Have a great start to your weekend!
I hadn't seen it either and now have forgotten how I came across it. Thanks for this movie suggestion! I love the story and will look forward to seeing this.
So many movies I saw as a kid on TV that I can't remember with accuracy but this sounds very familiar. It's cold here, too. Three degrees at noon and expected to get down to -13F tonight. Lots of hungry birds for company--LOL!
Oh, my! That's much colder than here, but that's only to be expected. I'm seeing a few birds that don't usually come but check us out when the temps plunge. We do enjoy our patios, don't we :)
Because this blog does not consist of a single focus topic I chose the name Divers and Sundry where "Divers" means being of many and various kinds, and "Sundry" means consisting of a haphazard assortment of different kinds.
I saw this one when was a kid. My great aunt took me to the cinema! Valerie
ReplyDeleteSooo cool!
DeleteThat looks like the perfect Saturday afternoon flick
ReplyDeleteIt'd be perfect for that.
DeleteI love the poster! I just looks so sleazy!
ReplyDeleteRight?! That pose! lol
Delete...it's so cold here this morning that a flame would be nice.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's 17 here. We're not used to getting much weather like that.

ReplyDeleteThere are so many movies we'll none of us ever have complete film backgrounds. I just have good luck stumbling around ;)
DeleteThis one sounds good, but I don't think I ever saw it.
ReplyDeleteMovies: The Turn of the Screw (2009) - good (and two of the actors from Downton Abbey were in it)

DeleteLove Maureen O'Hara! I always loved her hair so beautiful 😁. Happy weekend! Hugs Jo x
ReplyDeleteShe is always watchable, and yes, her hair :) Lovely.
DeleteIf I get caught up, I want to watch this tonight. It looks great!
ReplyDeleteFun and mindless entertainment is just what I sometimes need :)
DeleteThe 30"s- the 50's when adventure films could just be fun.
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to find entertainment that doesn't feel like it has to have a message or moral.
DeleteTwo of the greats and a good movie.
ReplyDeleteYes! :)
