DeleteI am SO far behind. I've either been out or watching poor Elizabeth give up the ghost today. Shame on Bernie's supporters for bullying her.
ReplyDeleteI'm still angry and sad over how her supporters wouldn't support her. They said Hillary was a flawed candidate with too much baggage and that if we gave them a better candidate they'd vote for her. Well, now we know that was a lie. We're in such a red state that my vote in the general won't accomplish a thing, and this primary is a devastating revelation :(
DeleteI think some of her policies are what did her in. I think the party is headed to the conservative rather than the progressive side. After all, she is a far better speaker than Biden and doesn't carry his baggage, either. It's just they aren't into what she stood for. AND, she couldn't carry the black vote, which is crucial in the democratic party. One reason why I like Biden is because he is known on the world stage and can give credence to our country again. It would be nice to be respected rather than ridiculed on the world stage and I'm not sure Elizabeth could overcome the damage trump has caused. I DO believe Biden can.
DeletePeople seemed willing to throw their own desire for more progressive policies under the bus of "but she can't win in the general" while I firmly believe she coulda won in the general :( No one can undo the damage trump has done. We'll have the young lifetime judges he's appointed making hyper conservative decisions for generations. I'm mad. Still mad :(
DeleteI for one, am not a progressive, but you can probably tell that. I'm actually a libertarian, back before they started sounding more like the Tea party. I consider myself an economic conservative and a social liberal. To think I totally forgot about the damage he has done by appointing those judges is quite unlike me. I'm mad about Alabama and their restrictive abortion rights, as well as their governor who is a complete racist IMHO.
