Alice in Wonderland (1903)

Alice in Wonderland (1903) is a silent short, the first film adaptation of the Lewis Carroll fantasy novel. The only known print of this is incomplete but still surprisingly faithful. It's known for its impressive special effects.

I have other posts of fantasy and science fiction movies, some of which can be viewed online, linked here. I'm always interested in suggestions for more to watch.

    1. It's less than 10 minutes long, so not much time investment. I hope you like it :)

  3. This was incredible. I can see the damage, which of course, is too bad. However, I thought it was excellent and I really enjoyed it. 10 minutes of my life is not too long to see this wonderful early film. I LOVE SHORTS!

    1. Shorts are such a delight! Anything less than an hour is somehow easy for me to watch either while I'm doing something else or just in between things. They are perfect for meal-time entertainment :)

It is always fascinating to get a glimpse into other times, and these old movies do that. Just like reading older books. So much is the same. So much is different.

    1. Yes! So long ago! My grandparents would've been children. I wonder how widely shown these early films were.
