Snow in November is almost unheard of here, but we got some Wednesday afternoon. Not much, mind you:
It was pretty while it lasted:
Yesterday morning, the day after the snow, it looked like this:
and by noon it had melted away. Tomorrow we have a predicted high of 64.
Good morning, it must have been pretty coming down
ReplyDeleteIt was hardly visible coming down during most of the time and hard to get a photo of it falling. There were a few minutes of bigger, fluffy snow, but mostly it was tiny. Or sleet. I'll take what I can get, though. Snow is so unusual here. I don't have to get out in it, so I can just enjoy the view :)
Deleteyes now retired I just enjoy it and don't drive in it any more unless I just have to
DeleteYou and me both! It's sleet that's the main problem here. During recent years we've had more ice than snow, and it brings down utility wires and brings Memphis to a standstill. We don't know how to drive in the rain ;) much less the frozen stuff. I'm wondering if we'll get more snow than usual this year since this came so early. I need to look at one of those Farmer's Almanacs and see what they say.
DeleteYou got some sugar snow. We got your storm. 7 inches of snow and now it's raining so things will turn to heavy slush. Deep sigh.
ReplyDelete7 inches! I can't remember the last time we got that much snow!
DeleteI love snow gently falling. It's just beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is, isn't it :) So peaceful.
DeleteWe are expecting snow here next week, too. The fields are white with frost this morning! Have a great weekend, Valerie
ReplyDeleteYou'll get more than we did, I imagine lol
DeleteThe snow does give a rather ethereal look to everything. Your pumpkin looks like it was sprinkled with icing sugar.
ReplyDeleteIt did look pretty. It really surprised us to get snow this early. A delightful dusting :)
