  1. What a beauty Angela is - I was introduced to her from a horse movie - National Velvet with Elizabeth Taylor. Angela is the older sister in the movie. We can all learn something from her, she is a very graceful lady.

    1. She has always been a favorite actress at our house. That woman has depth and breadth and talent. I think Bedknobs and Broomsticks was the first film the kids saw her in, and they fell in love with her then :)

  2. It's amazing how long Angela Lansbury has been in film. I think the first time I saw her was in National Velvet alongside child-actress Elizabeth Taylor. Lansbury played Taylor's older sister and was still a child herself. Her range is astonishing and she's always a pleasure to watch.

    1. She's eternal! Her first film was in 1944, and she's still going strong at 93.

    2. Watched it. Unrealistic plot, but such fun to see Angela so young. I do adore Jane Darwell--never knew her name but loved her in Grapes of Wrath and Tugboat Annie. Well, she was in so many movies.

    1. She started playing women older than she was when she was quite young. Murder She Wrote lasted so long, so I imagine that's why she's connected with it in everybody's mind. I think The Manchurian Candidate was the first thing I ever saw her in, and I always picture her as she was in that. Scary! lol

  7. Taking some "me" time to play catch up here. I never knew who Lansbury was till Murder She Wrote came along. She was certainly a beauty then and even today. I will watch this for her later this weekend.

    1. I hope you like it. Have you seen the old Manchurian Candidate film? Or Bedknobs and Broomsticks? She really is a treasure.
