Japanese Cherry Trees line Cherry Road between the Audubon Park golf course and the Memphis Botanic Gardens.
This time of year, we are blessed with this gorgeous display.
It doesn't last long because of the inevitable Spring storms, but oh! while it lasts!
What an incredible sight. I bet the scent is wonderful, too. These are really magnificent photos of this beautiful area.
ReplyDeleteThere were a lot of picture-takers that day. I saw a Buddhist monk (you can see his orange robe peeking out from behind a tree in one of my photos), people with children in Easter finery, several couples taking selfies in front of the blossoms.... Popular spot :)
DeleteDon´t you just want to get your picknick basket out and settle beneath one of those trees? Pretty as a picture! And very, very zen.
ReplyDeleteToo much traffic right along this road for a picnic, but the Botanic Gardens and the surrounding Audubon Park is very popular for picnics.
DeleteBeautiful blossoms. Glad you got some photo's before they disappear.

Yes, you never know just when a blowing rain will strip those trees. Some years I miss my chance at pictures.
